Excellent tale. I wasn't so lucky, my filler cap hit the road and got run over and broke before I stopped, about $20 for a new one.

same thing happen to me when i had my s2k. I was going nuts for about 2 weeks until I went to my friends shop and we found the cap between the tranny and firewall.
