A bullet cam and suction mount on the wind deflector will work.

I still have mine which I got from DogCamSport (Sony HQ) Only problem is lots of wires and cables

RaceLogic do a very smart one, but it's mega bucks.

with that modifry one, do you have screw it down into the glove box lid? or if you take it all off is it hidden? i dont like the idea of making holes in my car lol
So long as you have the wind deflector, it's just a case of taking that off and aligning the plate up and then attaching the wind deflector back on again and that holds it in place.

Install instrustions

This does a great job imo, and now there is a lower profile mount it means you get less of the rear view mirror in the frame

I used the original taller mount which has a ball joint at the top. I turned this through 90 degrees and screwed in a bullet cam. Just make sure the camera is pointing up the right way other wise you'll have a wonky video

My bulletcam plugs into my SonyHandycam HC40 via the AV in.
The HC40 also has a lanc controller socket so I can stop and start the camera via a separate remote control while the camera is tucked up warm and waterproof in may – not much use in a car though.

Lots of more modern cameras don’t have AV in anymore, something about having to pay tax as a VCR if they can record AV.
But, there are a lot of solid state recording units around that can take a bulletcan.

Google Bullercam or sportscam, you’ll find a lot of options.

I ordered one of these the other day:

Hoping I can persuade whoever's at the back on my Dales meet to stick it to their bumper.
