Just curious as to why you removed the Steering UJ?
Uncoupled not removed as the racks mounted on the sub frame and bending the column 1-2 inches isn't conducive to good accurate steering.
Yeah, everytime I have lowered the engine, I have done it by removing the engine mounts and not the subframe. Subframe is the easier option. Sorry, was having a South Mimms moment.

Nice one!

Be doing this on Saturday, albeit on axle stands

Bought a couple of new extensions and swivel sockets to cope
The ramps free if you need it Ron, much better than axle stands
Oooooooooooh.........

Part of me wants to tackle it on the stands, but I would very much like the ramp.

Hopefully if you get the PM I have sent you, we can talk then

On stands? Are you mad You are probably a lot younger than me Ron but I still think you need a big heart to do it on stands. I mauled my sac off, but as the car wasn't running I didn't have a choice.

Hmmm.....axle stands or ramp, decisions decisions....

Surely that's a no-brainer.
