Could be better but could have been worse

I would go for a different route.
For example you could wire up the door handle to the mains. Or, put some razor blades under there.
Just dont forget when you go to use the car
Also, they may well now know where you work etc.

Stupid question but you don't live in/near Reading?
I ask because there is a local gang breaking into 30-40 houses an night and stealing car keys. They then help themselves to your car later that night, once you've gone back to bed. The local police are far to busy nicking speeding motorists to be ar$ed to do anything about it. Which is just typical, of Thames Valley Police.
A friend of my Dad's had his keys to his Lexus stolen the other evening, and Lexus charged him 2k to replace all the locks on his car. They had to wake up their neighbours in the middle of the night to get them to block his cars in, in case they came back for his cars later on.

Steeling or vandalising a car isnt illegal...
Well this is what I believe because when you report it they dont give a S@#t.
However, call them about someone car tax 2 days out of date and they will send riot Police, choppers, you name it!!
Grrr.... car crime is a sensitive area for me!

Honda have provided me with a key to unlock the car and allow me to stear it but I cannot start it are deactivate the alarm.
The AA are coming to flat bed it to Honda with the alarm going of great fun
You've got a key to open the bonnet right? If some one does try to come back for it I think they may have a few problewms trying to start the car! Plus it stops the alram going off when the AA come along.
