Custom sub box for boot! plus a leak!
hi guys,
Im looking to add a sub to my s2000 (alpine 10inch type R), basically the magnet is massive on this thing, or at least 6/7 inches deep. Now this outrules making a pretty much rectangular box which I was going to put in the recessed part of the boot. I shall now have to remove the jack and other accessories and build more of a upsidown trapezium type design, possibly upsidown pyramid. Im sure im not the first one to build a box like this, I was wondering if anyone had recorded the design?
Also I have noticed my car has "wet itself" when removing the jack etc from the boot, I remember seeing a thread about filling a vent with silicone sealant but couldnt find it on a search. Any idea's?
Thanks and hope you are all having/had a merry xmas!

Here is the link within the FAQ to the measurements for a 12" sub box. Note from the FAQ that there are three designs of increasing complexity and volume, dependent upon the sub you get.
