Default installing hybrid imagines

Doing this install myself this weekend....

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/101...al-impression/

List so far :

speakers (got)
damp pro ( got)
silicon spray ( where is the best place to purchase?)
coat hanger
baffles ( got)
sealant for baffles ( any examples)?

Screws - not got yet. Anybody know what size the stock screws that attach the speakers are? According to the guide I need slightly longer?

Thanks very much for your help, I am a techinical spaz

Some people use fairy liquid in place of silicon spray (which can be bought from Halfords, B&Q etc.)

The Guide says you need #10 1&1/2" screws, so that's answered.

I just soaped mine up a bit before pulling it through, there was a different guide that I followed which talked about knicking the boots with a Stanley blade to be able to pull the cable though.

I used a liberal couple of coatings of slightly watered down PVA glue for my sealant, works a treat

I ended up reusing the mounting holes (yellow clips removed) for the speakers with M5 bolts instead of screws as there was quite a big gap between the spacers and the metal caused by the clips not sitting flush.

Here is the email i have been sent from the seller...

HI Simon,

Should be able to help.

Need to know what the 10-32 X 1 Screws are. Socket Countersunk/Phillps Pan etc.

The #10 X 1.1/2 sound like normal Pozi Countersunk Self Tapping screwshttp://www.pts-uk.com/Products/Self_...A2/A7982101500

Best regards

Andy

Why not just take the car to a proper audio installer and get them to do it, it shouldn't cost much?

Or, go to to a hardware shop and ask them

It'll be much quicker and painless.
I speak from experience as someone who also a "techinical spaz"
