Default Spoon Snorkle...

How important is the cooling plate? I've got it off completely just now and have seen some very nice carbon jobbies on here. Is it advisable to put one on and would cutting a section of the original one be sufficient given I'm not too bothered about how it looks?

Initial impressions of snorkle are good but I'll say no more just now until I've had a chance to properly driver her tomorrow

I cut the original one at first. It does seem to stop alot of crud coming up into the engine bay. I've just replaced it with a carbon fibre one though.

I like the look of the Garage defend jobbie, though fairly pricey.

No good if you have a snorkel already though.

Cusco do a nice one, not sure on price though.

Oooops, not sure if it has a snorkel cut out or you have to diy. Pretty sure it will involve getting handy with a dremel. Sorry.

You should replace the radiator plate by modifying it to fit the snorkel. It directs air though the radiator rather than over it - helps with the efficiency.

Oh and it keeps the engine bay clean...

Cool, I'll modify the existing plate in the meantime and take it from there
