Mine's starting to low idle with about 1 or 2 bars when out and about. When I start it cold, having left it overnight it idles at 2k until it starts to warm up. Having said that it behaved all the way to work today sitting at 1k at idle, maybe it's learnt at last.

Do any of you guys ever give it a hit of Injector cleaner ?

Probably more beneficial to those who mainly do short journeys rather than longer high speed blasts

That's why we flogged Karen's 106 - You didn't always notice it had stalled at roundabouts & it was a PIA. Pug CGAF.

I'd clean out the idle correction bypass valve (near the fast idle one).

Also the pollution control valve on the cam cover, so its little ball rattles. Excess crank pressure can cause the revs to drop too quickly for the IACV to 'catch' the engine - remember, it's switched off on over-run.

Right been to the dealer problem Solved!

Apparently at the 27k service the tappets hadn't been adjusted, so they've now been adjusted (plus a clean of the sparks) and zero problems. Still idling at 2k from cold, but no stalling or even the threat of!

Do they mean valve clearances checking?
