LJK Setright is a motor journo God, I grew up reading his flowery prose in Car magazine, since they got rid of him the magazine has not been the same

 

He was great wasn't he!!! I used to love reading his stuff, along with Mel Nichols..whatever happened to him?

Yes Ian, it was LJK Setright, and he was comparing the 3kgto with the Porsche 928 S4, saying what a fantastic ride/handling combination it had, the best since he'd driven the Porker.

Jason - apologies if I sounded offended, no offence taken. Agree there is massive depreciation, and the running costs are very high. But it gets the same kind of interest and admiration you get in the Honda - small kids seem very clued up on the S2k, I have often had kids shouting out "Honda S2000 - nice motor" - love it.

 

Don't knock Goffey, he's the reason I drive a Honda. Great guy and as good a laugh as his son.

We used to be in our office all the time and organised a couple of charity banger races that our firm took part in. Absolutely mad events and yes we did take him out !


As to Setright, doesn't he write for Autocar now ?
