Answer: When you try and buy one at Cosco !

Some of you have probably heard about the great deal that Costco were supposed to have this week on the Origin b2...... I went over to their Watford store on Monday night only to find out that they had already sold out - one day into the promotion, apparently they only had 60 units in and were 'expecting a new shipment in the next couple of days' WTF, great planning guys - not !

Anyway, I called them yesterday evening and they are now telling me that 'we have discontinued the Origin b2', so after one day they decide to discontinue, hmmmm....

However, they do have the Snooper S6-R in stock at the same price (around

I use an S6-R and have no complaints.

Just been looking back at some old threads......seems that the radar detector part of the S6-R is not that good, lots of false alerts.....

Of course that may apply to most radar detectors, or is this one far worse than the others ?

Fazer - most Radar detectors do give false alerts, I just think the one with the S6R is not the latest model. The BEL550 is regarded as the best radar detector for the money.

I decided to get an RA and not bother with the radar bit purely from the point of view that radar traps are decreasing and laser / mobile / gatso / truvelo are on the increase.

As far as I'm aware Costco never had B2's but the older model only, have seen these at watford many times.
IIRC these were what the offer was on.

I have the radar detector part set to Laser only and I use a Snooper 715i as backup but I get a lot of false alarms from this too

I've got the RA and the 550. The Road Angel is by far the more useful.
