'They' call the Ferrari 612 Spagetti 'Front Mid Engined'. Thus the S2000 is Front Mid Engined.

The engine of a car can be in 7 places (F= Front, M=Mid, R=Rear)
F: Front of the front axle
F: On the front axle
M: Behind the front axle
M: Between the two axles
M: In front of the rear axle
R: On the rear axle
R: Behind the rear axle

How do jet propelled cars feature in this acronym?

I suppose they're rear-engined, but .. err .. no wheel drive.
