Audi A4 3.0 - Mobil 1 0w30 and OEM Mann Filter (interval = 10,000 miles).
I changed my oil in my Audi this weekend, and I switched from Mobil1 to the new Castrol Edge. (I noticed that Audi also switched their recommended oil for the A4 from Mobil1 to Castrol). When I was discarding my old oil, my local Autozone guy said I was the first person to buy it. Seems fine, but it's only been a day. Definitely is thicker like regular GTX. May put it in My S also at the next oil change. It's a little bit more expensive than Mobil1 and a little bit less expensive than Royal Purple at Autozone.

I'm going to finally be changing the oil while I'm home this week. I ended up just going with Mobile 1 again.

I read up on this recently and what I got out of it is that a quality 5w30 or 5w40 synthetic is the way to go.

10w30 per the OEM Honda manual, you can run a 5w30 or a 0w30 but watch your oil comsumption.

I was a Mobile 1 fan, Now I'm a Castrol Full Syn guy....

^ i just put in Castrol 5w30 in my beater for the winter and changed her air filter as well. Next up will be replacing the spark plugs

This latest oil change in the S i used royal purple 10w40. not really feeling any differences, but I think my S need more love than just oil. Looking to do the valve adjustment sometime during the cold months of storage
