Thoughts for IMPROVING the community

Dude. It's only like 290 miles or so for you to drive it... Just sayin...

I've been lurking/participating/reading/whoring on this site for 10 or so years. I only picked up my first S2000 last year and I've always felt the forum was inclusive enough for most.
I attended my first meet sometime last year and it wasn't the biggest thing, nor was it full of social butterflies or wallflowers. Some folks were introverts and some not so much. Either way, it was a good time because people weren't bickering over the stupid shit I've been reading in the last few pages of this thread.
Why are you people discussing how to make friends, how to treat said friends and how to treat non-friends like they're friends? Leave those details up to individuals. You like some folks, you don't like others. Just because we all drive the same car, it doesn't mean there's some underlying genetic code that makes us all the same. I think GPMike (now banned) seemed like a real douche of a guy, but we drive the same car. CKit and Patinum were loads of help to me while I was hunting my car down and they'd never even met me before. Luder94 and Ruexp67 have both helped me out with questions I had about various things.
Whether or not I like all these same guys as much in person is irrelevant for the rest of the community. If I despise them enough to avoid the meets, so be it. Perhaps the community would be better off without a downer like that anyway. And if the community loses out because I don't show up, well then that's just life. Get over it.
All this talk about how to improve the community just seems more detrimental to said community. If it's this hard for some of you to get along, stay home. If you like the car and a few others enough to participate, then show up and participate.
We all have jobs and we all likely work with some people who we're not in love with. We all also have some friends we like more than others and we handle our business as we feel we need to. Just let people be.
Bottom line, quit talking/whining/bitching/crying about it and just do it.
I am Rahul, and this is OFFICIALLY my UNOFFICIAL opinion.

Yeah, MI meet would be ideal....more centralized to the area geographically.
