Default Review: GM basic synchromesh + Energy suspension shift linkage bushing

I have been using these tranny oil and bushing for about 2 weeks now. And I'm impressed so far. I am still being cautious when my engine & tranny is cold right now. But anyway when it's cold, I can still put it into gear without grinding or having "resistance" like before.

Before I change my tranny oil, I have hard time getting into 2nd gear sometimes. Which I grinded twice and can't get into gear sometimes(and I didn't jam it into gear). Now I don't have this problem in the morning(within these two weeks anyway).

The bushing are nice too. With the price of around 15cad I really can't complain much. They are stiffer so the stock shifter pop into the centre faster and I can go into 3rd gear easier with that. The whole shifter become a bit more notchy. But of coz if I have CTR shift & shift linkage that will be a lot better. But that's a lot more $ that I have to pay LOL.

Sure no problem at all!

Actually it's pretty smooth after the tranny oil warmed up. Like that day we drove up to Cypress.

I've changed to synchromesh. I can only describe it like this: I didn't know I had a problem with my transmission until after I changed to synchromesh. I only have 17 K on my MY02 S2000. The tranny fluid I drained was clear and clean. Nonetheless shifting is noticably smoother and the notchiness going into 2nd is gone.

Just my 2 p (approx 3.5 cents)

Great. I have about 3500km on it now. Shifting in cold is still not bad since I never push my car before I really really warm it up after driving it for a bit.

Shift when the engine is hot is just great. I will probably change it every 4000-6000km depends on how I drive in that period of time.

Someone suggested GM Friction Modified fluid on honda-tech also so I mite try those as well.

Great to hear! Where can I get it changed at and how much will it cost?
