Its not quite the diameter i was worried about as the staggered setup. I know AP1's run 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 rear. I can't find 225/50/16 tires in the wintersport 3d, i'd have to change to wintersport m3 for that size. Are you concerned about the non-staggered setup?

Doesnt have to be exact staggered. I run 215/45/17 and 225/40/17 for winter.

I don't mind running non-staggered. I sacrifice traction on dry conditions, but the narrow tires would be more beneficial on snow because of the added weight/square foot ratio.

Hmm. I'll try fitting my old 8thcivic's winter shoes on tonight then, might not have to spend any more money for winter tires if i can just use the ones i already have lying around my garrage.

Driving non-stag winter tires, especially in the snow, will teach you how to countersteer pretty quickly

Fwiw, V rated 3d & m3 in AP1 sizes is exactly what I run. S2ki sponsor Jim, from Tire rack, checked with Dunlop and they said it was safe to run this combo.
