well I sold my car already....but when I had the car, the engine check light was always on when I took the cat out....It won't hurt your car for sure......Previously, I heard that a Spoon ECU might cause that as well......Andif you have OEM Cat is the best because you can always put it back on...then that's no big deal

yeha.. i've been driving with CEL on since i took out my cat. if you can live with a yellow light on your dash, it's no big deal.
i asked around and ppl've explained that there really is no power loss... it just tellls you that the O2 readings aren't normal
