I love the Star Specs. I run them in stock AP2 sizes for the street and on the track. They grip really well in the dry and on the track you can get a good 15-18 minutes of good laps before they start to get greasy. For the street they're great. pretty good in the rain. (it rained today in San Diego and didn't feel sketchy).
I'm just trying to see how they look in OEM sizes. I want the sidewalls to look similar mounted on the rims. I'm running Sumitomo HTR-Z III's right now and they look good in 215/255 but I'm thinking that going back to stock is better.
i have run the XS on several occasions before; in the dry, they grip pretty comparably, and seem to be able to handle similar amounts of heat/abuse.
in the wet, the star specs are better for sure.
and yeah, as they wear, the star specs will sing to you...can get fairly vocal at interstate speeds, but hey, it's an S2000, not a lexus
My Fit has the star specs and now they are loud as heck at highway speeds. When new they were quiet but after 10K miles, they are loud. Love the tires though. Will get a set for my S2K after the HTR Z IIIs, RE-011rs or sDrives (three sets of wheels) need to be replaced.

Which would you say is best for all around driving use? Keep in mind noise is a factor for me as I want to keep the little lady happy. If the Dunlops get really loud that's not good. The tires do need to be safe in the rain.
I probably won't track the car much but maybe a couple HPDEs a year max for recreation.
