245/45 is wayyyyy too tall. If you go 245, go with a 40 height.

That said, I'd go with 255/40 all around.

Going from +50 to +44 offset you're *losing* 12mm of tire WIDTH potential, you know that, right?

I can get as beefy tires as I want now
If you're talking about giving up rim diameter for sidewall height, I also generally prefer smaller-diameter wheels with taller sidewall tires Sick of the ever bigger-diameter wheels trend...
Going to 17's, you will definitely be able to run "beefier" looking tires (if by that you mean taller sidewalls), but not necessarily "as beefy tires as [you] want"!

Now just one more...for the rears, with the works, will a 245 45 setup fit or do you think I should get a 255 40 for a beefier look.
In terms of sidewall height, 245/45 would look "beefier" from the side. 245*.45 = 110mm sidewall, 255*.40 = 102mm sidewall.

But if you could fit 255/35-18's in back on +50 offset wheels without rubbing, that does NOT mean that you can now fit 255/40-17s in back on +44 offset.

If you were *nearly* rubbing with 255/35-18 on +50, you *will* be rubbing with 255/40-17 on +44.

If you had 6mm+ clearance with 255/35-18 on +50, then you *should* be OK with 255/40-17 on +44.

A taller 245/45-17 in back wouldn't necessarily clear. Width-wise, should be OK, but since it's taller, you might have issues.

[QUOTE]Obviously the 265s are wider but froma

Actually, rereading your first post:

So as the title says. I am dropped currently and running 18x9.5 +50 all around (245/40/18 in front and 255/35/18 rears) with no issues. I want to go a bit more aggresive.
So I was thinking of getting 235 or 225 /40/18 fronts and 235 or 245/35/18 rears on the new ones...?
How on EARTH is 235 or 225 width fronts and 235 or 245 width rears "MORE AGGRESSIVE" than 245 fronts with 255 rears?!

Are you aware that the outside lip of a 9.5" wide +50 offset wheel is very slightly further outboard (i.e., more "aggressive") than the outside lip of a 9" wide +44mm offset wheel?

Going from 9.5" +50 offset to 9" +44 offset is not going to look *any* more aggressive, it will just force you to run narrower tires!

What are you trying to do, exactly?!
