Default Rear Replacement

Just tore up my driver-side rear tire. Had a screw in it and it went flat ruining the sidewall. Wasn't driving fast (65mph) for about 8 miles and couldn't really tell that it had gone flat ... except that the S2K would pull to the left when I accelerated. Thank God we weren't out pushing it on a twisty mountain road (which I had been doing a couple of days ago).

I have 12K miles on the tires and the rear tread was at 6.5/32s -- so, about half gone.

Should I replace both rear tires or just the one that ran flat?

Also, would assume that I should put the same tire back on (OEM Potenza RE050) unless I want to upgrade all four.

Replace both rears and you can go with a higher performance in the rear if you want imho. It would give you a little more understeer if anything. Jim can give you the best answer.

I went ahead and ordered two RE050s that will be here on Monday. Figure I'll put the old (good) tire in the garage as a spare in case this happens again.
