What he said. How do you think adding a spacer would move the wheel in?

Hi guy's

I just recently purchased a set of 17x9.5 +41 TE 37. I know I will have to have some fender work done on my S2000 to be able to run those wheels. I'm looking for some advice on what size of tire I should buy? and also what would be a good brand to buy?. Thank you for your input

245/40/17 all around if you want it to be a little easier to fit. 255/40/17 if you want more rubber but fitment will be tougher in the front. As for tire brand we need more info. Is the car tracked? Daily driven? Weather conditions?

Hey Manga_Spawn
Thank you for the quick response and for the information. This car is honestly my daily driver and I really don't anticipate going to the track any time soon. I want something that I can possibly drive daily and enjoy the ride. And as for weather conditions here in the California is mostly Sunny with your normal rain every now and then. Thank you.

Evasive spec 9.5" +41? The front will probably require a slight pull/flare in addition to a basic roll. You might consider a 245/40, 255/40 stagger as well but it will eliminate the ability to rotate front/rear. I pulled this pic from their thread:

Yes sir Evasive spec 9.5 +41 sorry lol. I didn't realize I was going to need a pull but I definitely appreciate the input. Would 245/40 be better since it will just be my daily? Or does it make a difference? Sorry for all the questions it's just that I'm looking to learn as much as I can from this forum. Here's a pic of the car and wheels.I'm just trying to do it right the first go around.Thank you.

Oh by the way beautiful looking s2000 you have there

Will be rolling flat/cutting bumper/liner.

Reasonably low, probably 1/4" of gap between top of tire (on OEM wheels/size ZII).

How close am I to doing it right?

Cost. I won't be tracking the car anytime soon, to be honest I'm probably going to kill the tires this summer, I drive a lot & the S2000 is my road trip car.

And great, am glad to hear that.

Clean AP1 and I like the color combo with bronze wheels.

Personally, I would go with 245/40 all around. It will really make the front fitment easier compared to a 255. If you think you have the room and want more tire, step up to 255/40 for your next set of tires.

For a daily, I'd look at the following tires:

Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Continental ExtremeContact Sport
Bridgestone S04
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500

Look at the reviews on Tirerack and decide for yourself which tire would be best for you. The Firestone are super cheap at just over $100 per tire and have been getting good reviews but I haven't tried them personally. I do have Michelin PSS on my stock wheels and a 245/40 looks slightly stretched even on a 8.5" wheel. Some of the others might run wider and fit your wheels better. On the plus side, would help with fender clearance. Good luck, looking forward to seeing these installed!

planning to put a TE37 with specs of

18 x 8.5 +40
18 x 9.5 +35

will this fit? how much camber do i need and can you give me some tire specs recommendation. looking for a semi stretched / semi meaty setup

was planning to put 215/35/18 on the front and 215/40/18 on the rear.

any suggestions are welcome.

Needs rolled fenders relocated tabes etc. I hope those tire sizes are a typo as they are all sorts of wrong. You need 215/40/18 in the front and a 245/35/18 in the rear at least. I would try to go with a 225/40/18 front and either a 245/35/18 rear or 255/35/18 rear. 215 on a 9.5 is very stretched,
