i'm not planning on lowering either.
If you lower the car a good 1-1.5" and plan on rolling the fenders all around. The 8.5 +45f - 9.5 +45r would be the best looking semi aggressive fitting option to run a 225 up front with a 255 rear. Don't see any 17" listed.

ok scratch that plan as i want to keep it looking pretty much stock without lowering or rolling fenders.
what 17" sizes of these wheels would best approximate ap2 specs? (will also run ap2 size tires 215front 245rear)

i see them on tirerack site but no option to order, perhaps could email them direct? would prefer this route as i could order the tires as well pre-installed.

Why don't you get the AP2V3 wheels? Seems to be the 5 spoke look you want and they will actually look stock. A +45 offset will look odd at stock height due to the added poke. And yes the bolt pattern is 5x114.3.

i only like the looks of the ap1 wheels, only reason i want to replace them is because mine came with serious curb rash and it looks awful up close.

17x9 +45 w/ 255/40 RT615K+

-2.4* camber up front, -1.9* in back

Will be rolling flat/cutting bumper/liner.

Reasonably low, probably 1/4" of gap between top of tire (on OEM wheels/size ZII).

How close am I to doing it right?

Sounds good to me. Curious why you are going with those tires over other more proven ones like the RE71r, AD08R etc.

Question about offsets. If i want to end up at 17x10 +72, does a 17x10 +52 and a 20mm spacer work?

No. Adding a spacer lowers the offset, 10" +52 with a 20mm spacer would be +32.
