Go for the wider wheel. It will give the tire more stability, and more options for a wider tire if you ever want it. With 57 in front and 64 in the rear, you could run a 235 in front and 275 in the rear, or even maybe squeeze a 245 in the front if you're feeling daring. I had a 245 on a 9.5" wheel on the front of my C6 and it worked and looked fine.

That said, by all means, you don't really need a 9.5" wide wheel if you're running a 255 on the rear.

Yeah, I took my s2000 out for a hard drive in the hills this weekend for the 1st time (I bought it 2 weeks ago I had a RX7 turbo with 225's on 8" wheels before ). The S2K has the 225/255 on the stock wheels right now & I noticed the tire sidewall swapping much more on the s2000 than the RX7 225 8" wheel combo. I think the tires will feel much better with the wider 8" & 9.5" wheels plus it will keep the stock 1.5" stagger.

I'll most likely stick with 225/255, I like the feel of the car with these sizes. Do you think a 255 will look too streched on a 9.5" wheel?

I think the 255 will look fine. Here's a Kumho SPT 245/40/18 on a 9.5" wheel on the front of my C6.

Thanks a lot for the help, I think I'll go 8" & 9.5". I think the tires will respond a lot better with that setup plus your tires don't look too streched and they're 245, mine will be 10mm wider on the same wheel.

Just curious what size are the tires/wheels in the rear? BTW nice car my dad has an older ZR1.

Thanks. The rear is a 285/35/19 on an 11" wheel.

Gentek, aggressive fitments including lowering, adding camber in order to make wheels fit, and fender modification are out of the scope of this thread.

That said, if you wish to provide useful data regarding your fitment for the benefit of other S2000 owners, we will need to see pictures of your car, because one person's "fit" is another person's "not even close." You must also provide wheel and tire makes and models.

Cheers,
Ken

I'm being told that the following will fit without modification. Based on the table in the OP it doesn't look like they will though.

They are SSR Type C-RS with Nitto NT-01s. The sizes are:

Front:
17X8 +48
235/40/17
Rear:
17X9.5 +62
275/40/17

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The rear looks good, but the front might be iffy. Every car is a little bit different. You might get away with it, or you might have to add a little negative camber in front if you rub.
