[QUOTE=Whoabitchin,Dec 20 2009, 08:03 PM]Can I ask out of 17x7 +48 or 17x7.5 +45 fronts, which will fit without rubbing, with being lowered a good amount and with 215 or 225 tires.

And in the rear where I have rolled fenders, out of 17x8 +45 or 17x8.5 +40, if the +40 will fit?

Has anyone ran bigger than 300 tires?

What rim size/offset?

Fr and Rr?

Whats the biggest that works?

Whats the problem going bigger?

Anyone truly know or is it just guesses?

I try to help with almost all questions in this thread, but I can't help very much with this one. This thread is all about fitting wheels and tires without modifying the car.

I suggest you check out this post from Jason Uyeda. He ran an S2000 in BSP and fitted some massive rubber.

Been doing a lot of reading but don't see where this issue has been discussed so here goes at the risk of being flamed for not searching.

Bought 17x8, 45 & 17x9, 45 Enkei RPF1's and I like the offset look on the front, but the back sticks out a bit to far more my tastes. Ideally I'd like a 17x9, 50-55 mm offset for the rear but I know Enkei doesn't make that size.

Is there chart somewhere that shows wheel brands with a listing of avaialble offsets? I can't seem to find any offset information on Tire Racks web site so I don't know where else to turn.

FYI:

You can see the offsets on Tirerack. Just use their upgrade garage, enter your car info, choose the wheel so that it appears on the picture of the car, and then choose "more details" at the bottom of the screen. Then the additional wheel info will be shown.

What tires are you using, and what is your rear camber measurement? They shouldn't be sticking out - a 245 should tuck under there nicely.

Thanks for the reply but tire size an camber settings are not the issue. I don't like offset of the rear wheels. Fortunately I have a few months to find wheels with offsets I like as the car is in winter storage. Ideally I'd like to find 17x8, 45-50 & 17X9, 50-55. Recomendations are welcome.

So from what I understand, 17X9 +45 with the 245 tire should fit without any rubbing in the rear. Is this the optimal size tire for this width rim?

How much work is required for the same up front. Can the front fender be rolled or are new wider fenders required?

Thanks,

Kevin

If you want to use a 245 in front you'll need a much higher offset than the rear (around 63 or more). I'm not sure how much additional clearance you can get by rolling the fender.

Also, one caution. Unless you've modified your suspension setup to accommodate, I don't recommend the same width tires front and rear. The car becomes very loose, especially in transitions. It's dangerous in wet weather especially.

Hello everyone,
I've been reading this site a lot for the last year or two, but since I don't own an s2000 yet I've never posted anything. I want to buy BB 2003 AP1 btw ;o]

I would like to share two links that I find much better alternatives to those that have been posted in this thread.

Wheel / tire size calculator / comparer - RIMS-N-TIRES
Simply the best wheel & tyre calculator I know. I've been using it for quite some time and surprised noone posted it yet. Definitely check this one out.

Original Made » Wheel Offset Explained…I Hope…
Much better explanation of the offset than the one on tirerack with nice easy to understand pictures.
