The OP didn't seem the specify what the tire was better at accomplishing. I shall attempt to answer it nonetheless:

RSR is better at saving you money
RSR is better at lasting longer (providing it doesn't do
RSR is better at splitting at the seam
RSR is better at having strangely shaped and abnormally soft sidewalls

A048 is better at providing overall grip
A048 is better at allowing you to spend pretty much as much money as you possibly could on a set of tires
A048 is better at having a beautiful design and perfectly firm sidewalls
A048 is better at allowing a novice driver to develop a false sense of confidence

The sidewalls are soft, it's inconsistent in performance as they heat up, and they feel "greasy" after a couple of hot laps.

What they do have going for them is that they offer great bang for the buck. They are a decent transition tire from high tread wear tires to R-comp's.

I definitely would not put them in the same class as A048's, NT-01's, and RC-1's.

If I was building a daily that could be spontaneously taken to the track, I would consider the RSR's.
