San Leandro S2000 Mega Meet Is Part Of What Makes This Community Great

Is there anything better during the Summer than enthusiasts meeting up to show off their cars?

The San Francisco Bay area of California is rife with automotive enthusiasts, and S2000 owners are not difficult to find. This year’s S2000 Mega Meet was held at East Bay Marina in San Leandro. Speaking from experience, as I recently helped organize a bay-area automotive meet-up, marinas are excellent locations to hold car shows. The backdrop of boats moored up at the docks helps to sell the ideals of seaside living. These views also set the scene for great photographs and video. As you can see in both videos below, taken at the show, a lot of S2000 owners showed up and had a lot of fun meeting their fellow enthusiasts.

This meet had a little bit of something for everyone. Whether you’re an AP1 person, or an AP2 enthusiast, there were dozens of examples on site to ogle. There were a few other Honda products, including a few NSXs and Civic Sis for the non-S2K inclined. Whether you’re an autocrosser, part of the stance crew, a road racer or JDM part collector, there were S2000s of every flavor on hand. Which S2000 is your favorite from the show? For those about to ask, the Lamborghini in the video above doesn’t count. We’re partial to a well cared for and lightly modified AP2 CR, but that’s just us.
