How do you expect Ferrari to know when the email showed up in a Ferrari inbox at 13:37? 90 minutes after the race started?

It's clearly the FIA's fault for not confirming that all teams got the message. Which is exactly why the FIA took responsibility and will be issuing paper notices in the future.

The fact that this FIA screw up pretty well destroyed KR's chance at the WDC is another clear example of the FIA favouring Ferrari....

Funny no one ever refuted this little bombshell Paul Stoddart laid on the world back in 05.

Ah yes, 2005, the year of the tire rule change...that clearly favoured Ferrari.

What does that have to do with the fact that they are funded by the other teams?

And I seriously hope your kidding about the tire ruling as a plot by the FIA against Ferrari. Pre season speculation was that the ruling would throw another championship to Ferrari because they were the only team that mattered to Bridgestone where Michelin had to make tires for all the other top teams.

So bridgestone dropped the ball and its a conspiracy against Ferrari?

Ah, wasn't sure which item you were talking about...

First time I have heard about this and I don't really believe that McLaren would not have said something about this if this was true???

BTW, Bridgestone did drop the ball, but the single tire rule was put in place to stop another 2004 from happening....again another clear case of the FIA favouring Ferrari.

Based on what? Wild speculation by the tifosi. The tire rule was passed some how under the guise of driver "safety"not to derail the red juggernaut. Bottom line is Brigestone screwed up.

Driver safety??? Common, how is it "safer" to drive on the same set of tires in a race???

Not wild speculation...common sense.

Yea I don't buy the driver safety line either but I can hardly see the rule change was made to stop Ferrari's dominance.

Then what do you think it was for then?

The reason I say this is because of the the string of rule changes to combat what I call the MS effect.

Another good example of that is the points rule changes. That was done to stop MS from winning the title mid season. I think this change was one of the worst decisions by the FIA as it takes the reward out of winning.

Honestly I thought the next step from the tire rule would be the end of pitstops all together in a way to increase on track passing. Same thing with the aero change in 05. As for the two race rule for engines it hurt McLaren more then anyone.

The real reason MS lost 05 is because he DNFed 6 Races.
