Default Back in an S2000

Hello all,

Haven't logged in and posted for a while but have been reading sporadically through the years. I'm finally getting another S2000 this weekend in an ideal spec and from a friend of mine that's had it for the last 9 years. It's a beautiful '06 in Laguna Blue with a lot of nice mods and a 60k mile motor. This will go really nicely with the rest of my cars while still offering a unique experience. It will definitely be my slowest car but I don't mind because it'll shine on backroads and at the track .

It's sad to see the community dwindle over the last decade but I've always really enjoyed the Car Talk forum since I started reading and posting in 2010. Glad to see the hardcore posters are still here.

Congrats! I'd love to pick up another one but prices are insane for good cars these days. Share photos when you get it.

2006 Laguna, nice config. Yeah I wish I kept my last one and sold it today, would've made a ton on that car. Enjoy it!

So I finally brought her home to join my crew of M cars. She fits right in considering all of them rev to 7200-8300 RPM.

Already started modding the S2000 as well... got an HKS 76mm single and 76mm test pipe to replace the Legalis R and Berk HFC. Also got some 17" Volks RE30s to replace the very heavy 18x9.5 SSR Professor MS1's. More to come!

Wow, nice collection! What did you think about the Legalis R / Berk HFC combo? Looking for something with less drone than what I have now (Milltek dual / Berk HFC)

Thanks! Needed some JDM in my life, and the S2000 drives like a gokart compared to everything but the E46.

As for the Legalis R... No drone, sounds good and lets the intake and engine be the star of the show. It is a really civil, classy setup, kind of an OEM+ exhaust. Which is why I'm switching to the louder 3" test pipe and 3" HKS single... less weight, more sound, and more power. But definitely will drone more. However this is a fun/track car so I won't have to suffer much, unlike when I was younger and only had an AP1.

Very nice, and the legalis is the exhaust of choice for me - love it.
