An entertaining race, and it was interesting to see that Lewis was clearly the faster car but was clearly being careful not to launch one up the inside just in case it went all wrong. Nico was so lucky to end up with 2nd place. If Perez had not been in 2nd holding everyone else up, Nico would have probably ended up 4th or 5th.

Ricciardo is really showing up Vettel this season during the races and in qualifying. It's clear Seb has not taken to these new cars much like Raikkonen. A great result for JB to grab 4th even if he was a bit lucky after the Perez/Massa crash.

I see Perez will get a 5 place grid penalty in Austria for causing that crash. Both went to hospital and given the all clear. And how the hell did Massa not wipe out Vettel. I'd love to see Vettel's onboard of that.

It was interesting - there was a period where Lewis was obviously faster, and was catching Nico by a considerable margin, then seemed to lose momentum and drop back. Was this Lewis burning up his tyres (and possibly brakes) whilst Nico was being more restrained?

The onboard showed Vettel start to turn in the steer away - obviously he'd seen the wreckage of Massa's car coming.

Hamilton was leading the race after the pitstops (admittedly helped by a poor stop and huge moment for Rosberg on his out-lap) but he put in a very fast in-lap which certainly helped him, so his tyres were in good condition, unlike his brakes.

Worse than that in my mind. Hamilton had the pressure on him from behind. He forced a mistake even if he wasn't making a pass at the time and not only did the not reap the rewards of taking the position, it in fact put him further back.

It's funny how much that crash looked like Massa's fault until so you the overhead. Don't know what Perez was thinking.

Perez was thinking like he always thinks 'you're not getting past me', he is a liability and a hot head.

Why does Lewis Hamilton insist on 'teaching' Rosberg how to beat him? why doesn't he sandbag in his practice sessions, it seems folly to me that he shows Rosberg with his data how to get faster ... the guy is a a great driver but I don't think he has a great strategy .... nonetheless looks like a good race weekend ahead at the Austrian GP.
