AND here we are again

Sort of like Groundhog day, but with Gov't boondoggles added.

I now have a Honda Izy, for completeness. And a dog who has scarified the lawn to death.

Solid state cells are a bit closer to reality, now.

And so is the FCEV.

makes me wonder if anyone will offer a car with juice incl.. i think telsa have done over the pond. sensible here when you can do 200mpg equiv and avg speed is c12 mph or whatever

meanwhile electric (motor)bikes were not really present at the bike show 2019.. a few cheap, crap things only. the stupid pricey stuff wasnt even present.

my commuter does c60mpg and ulez friendly 100g/km

TBF, there are some decent electric pushbikes out there now. A client has a van Moof, which is dead cool.

But that is a market where electrification makes a great deal more sense than a bloody SUV.

They may be a lot slower than an e-motorcycle, but are probably a lot more convenient. Or just as inconvenient, in this weather...

the e-bikes.. we just dont have safe infra for that. you need balls of steel and 360 degree vision here for it

i fancy a zero.. if they werent crazy prices and made plenty of candycrush disturbing noises

Well, many cyclists do appear to have significant mental health issues, so that may/may not work itself out.

Interesting review - Zero looks the part.

At least with many e-bikes, you can take the dead battery into work with you and charge it in comfort, though.

I suppose if you do find out you've the wrong cable, you can always sling it under a bridge & hang yourself - certainly pushing a 2.5 tonne SUV isn't an option.

Our dog goes in the boot of our Smart no problem however we stripped out the plastic for more space so there is no barrier from the passengers.

edit: I put down £800 for first dibs haven't heard yet but we are out in the sticks ...

First impression was it's cute. Boot is tiny but our dog might like it, less rolling around.

It's not too small for a motorway schlepp so we will drive when available in a few weeks

Might lease though in case it drops faster than my Lloyds shares
