Honda e
tell me how. All I am seeing is the more day rate I shift to night the more I benefit.
However
250kwh at 7.14 - £17.95240kwh at 29.7 - £71.28
total £89.23
If the battery can reduce that 24kwh at 29.7 £7.12216kwh at 7.14 - £15.42
Total £22.54
Saving £67 over 26 days or £77 a month (made an error first time but this is on my phone...)
Will do a spreadsheet at some point
in both cases SC is 46.35 a day so remains £14 a month

At 20p/unit average for 20 units if the SC adds ~40p/day elec is really costing you 22p/unit.
So payback increases by 10% (22p v 20p) due to the SC.
Jason, I cannot get away from the SC having to be paid and therefore diluting (increasing) daily costs on low/high rate (with VAT) charges.

If I put a battery in I pay £14 standing charge
The difference, which affects ROI is shifting load from day to night, that's all the batteries achieve.
I'll post a better excel bit..
I have been mooching around the EV6.. the new Honda's are not really my bag but I quite like the Kia to sit in at least.
Could fit another dag in that

on AVG my leccy is probably costing 15p a kWh at new rates.. so sub 5p a mile
Don't think I have done a 700 mile trip in a car since I was a kid. Have you?
It's like my old BM, top speed 170 or whatever. I never did that or close. A stat.
Range is an issue but the payback of cheap, hassle free and easy is compelling, even if you don't care about the env
I have. Recently too, up to my mates place about an hour north of Oban. largely irrelevant as my bladder needs emptying before any car I've had needs a fill up.
I'm replacing 2 cars with one later this year an alongside a Rav 4 the Jazz Crosstar and CR-V Hybrid are on the list. It's time to run one car that's both practical and comfortable but also reasonably economical.
Not sure the E is good enough to be that car but the hybrid tech in the other two puts them on the list. Just need a bit more depreciation to knock them down to sensible money.

The e is not an only car unless you are ok with hiring a car on occasion or never schlepp or don't mind charging
err indoors finds car travel uncomfortable (bad back) and I can't be arsed so we rarely if ever travel beyond the range of the e. I like it on a journey but she wants a tank. That tank won't be hybrid though unless under warranty, pure ICE or pure BEV, probably the latter as my setup means very cheap running costs but the EV6 is £45k+, I could get a Macan turbo for that (and probably break down a lot)
