Yeah but haven't you spent a couple of hundred grand on Hondas

I haven't bought one from a dealer. ever. I don't even get mine serviced there anymore though I do get parts from Cox

What is "decent"? >10pc?

Regardless, till we are out of this shit I am out of the market

Further tech update from a repeat trip to local Tesco to retrieve my ahem lost keys. At least they weren't locked in the car. They are selling of packs of 75gsm paper off cheap atm

Rear view mirror camera fogs up in rainy weather whereas the two wing mirror cameras are fine, which they boast about. Cheapskate or just inadequate road testing?

Developing a process now (a) disable RDM and CBMS every trip and (b) set softest setting of single pedal driving. Audio still strikes me as shit.

That said, it did brake stop me from hitting bumpers with a rather long overhanging SUV in the parking space in front of me

I wish there was some way to keep your personal settings across power off/on occurences.

Still haven't figured why sometimes have to wave the fob over the start button.

Cruise control and auto car lengths - am saving for the day!

2020 - there is no excuse for sub standard audio in any car, let alone an expensive entirely new model. At least offer the option of proper speakers and a basic subwoofer. Or fit better batteries so the range won't be dented by the weight / power draw.

This is a bugbear here too, Nina's bottom spec qashqai has better audio than the e advance which is an upgrade over the stock

It has a very tinny, limited range. Adequate for me as a family car I spose

start the new job next week.. fancy a small dog compatible car with low tax haha

But then you get the Kadjar with a cracking audio setup and the WORST interface for the unit known to man.

What you need is a 2nd hand CR-Z GT for < 6k with the pan roof and audio upgrades

Last night prices on my elec tariff had them paying me to consume in the wee small hours. Coulda had a tankful and received about £1.50 too. CBA car was at 80% already but I did charge the house batteries fully so 50p Next time. A bit like the national lottery if probably much better odds. Miniscule rewards though

I've heard that some recent Hondas have EQ settings buried somewhere in a sub-menu.

It's not actually the components which are that crap, it's just they are oddly-tuned, presumably for Japanese ears.

It'll be a combo of that and thin tin build quality with hollow door plastics.

Had a play while waiting in the supermarket car park. Yes Nick you have to go to 'general settings' then 'audio' where you can vary bass/middle/treble, fore/aft fade, subwoofer. I maxed the sub, faded to aft, below half on middle, above half on treble. Result was lots of booming muddy middle from the front door speakers, no accentuated sibilants, no bass what so bloody ever. Shall have to try my test track "Won't Get Fooled Again" (sic) with that glorious bass line from the late great ox, which I don't expect to hear or feel in the least part. Toying with getting the dealer to check there IS a subwoofer plus amp and they are connected. Interestingly they quote the audio amp power in max power not RMS, an age old trick to big up crap underpowered audio kit. Clipping anyone?

Enjoyed trying to get all the aquarium fish in one screen by feeding them lots. Failed. Some of the bastards are just not hungry enough.

Oh and one up over the Smart. There is a setting of the power switch/ignition to just have the radio and apps.

My driving is now up to 3.8 miles/kWh so in theory my max range is 133 miles/35kWh.

The RDM daftness only activates when you exceed 40mph.
