I need to do a charger comparison
Honda and mats.. wtf is the issue? M3 had funky velcro patches in the carpet, they worked flawlessly for me and easy to pull out for cleaning
I have seen a single used one and the demos so far. Needs mats with an 8yo

i make no bones about it though, its a niche value prop that Honda.. not an only car unless you live in Richmond, have a drive and never stray beyond the M25

a corsa is a niche prop too, must have had a lobotomy and ****in hate life . Truly uninspiring shit and basically its a pug so will prob electrocute you in the rain and not last 5 years.. i know, i have owned vauxhalls and PSA tat
That's the expensive Jazz, the cheapes is around £18k (with discounts no doubt available).

A lease comparison is interesting. The e Advance is £423 a month on a 3 + 36 deal. That's £16,497.
Mini E is about the same depending on trim.

A Jazz is £215 a month on the same sort of deal. Top spec is £272. 423 - 272 or 215 = gives you £150 or £208 to spend on running it.

EVs are getting closer in terms of costs, but they are still a bit more expensive and have the well documented limitations/advantages.

I've yet to see an e anywhere other than the car park at Crown Honda, so time will tell how badly it ends up selling.

I saw one of those Taycanthepiss things last dog-walk.

They ought to call it the Reversetardis - what a colossal and cramped waste of space.

£429 per month -

I'd rather have one of those German Ich-kann-alles-machen things for that. And I don't especially like German Ich-kann-alles-machen things.

I think the lease has priced in meteoric depreciation
I would do the same I think. But if you don't sell a car it's a paper loss. I have kept my S2 for 18 years, a BM I never really got on with for 8.. depreciation tends to flatten over that long a period and become less significant
the short term deals were shit when I looked and no doubt wanted a deposit too. They didn't offer me anything in terms of depreciation protection. I've never leased and probably never will now there aren't those daft cheap deals around. You pay for new car depreciation either way now, plus interest

Yeah, I've kind of got used to the idea of keeping a car so long it un-depreciates.

But I have my doubts about the idea of doing it with overtly-complex modern junk. So we probably will end up owning nothing and be happy!

BTW - there still seem to be a few of those bargain leases around - if you're prepared to have what you're given & not what you want. It's usually one of the Swabians in Fridgewhite with a four-pot clanker-rattler and big wheels, but there you go....

Haha.. the obsession with all wheel and no tyre does my nut in
does a CTR really need 20 inch wheels ffs?

The e can be had with 16s but the tyres are eco warrior specials so maybe best avoided for a tit like me

I've seen the Septics mention the CTR drives & rides really nicely when they put their little winter wheels on it, so again, I guess nothing's changed since we were debating 15" vs 16" on Civics & Integras...except the absolute dimensions.

I always thought the S2000 ran really nicely on the 16" winters ... Fiesta also runs nicely on 15" winters and the little Sol has gone from 14s to 15s, i'd not want to go any bigger on it.

The roads are no use for condoms on steel.

Glad it's not just me
I noticed a huge degradation in ride quality on the early S2 moving to 17s, same make Bridgestone tyres
Winter tyres are softer again. It rides like a limo on them. A tiny, 2 seat limo
