I need to have a look but I don't have a smart meter so the level of data you have
Plus we are consuming at a (very) heightened rate due to home schooling and cold home office
and who knows when that will end? 2039 at the current rate
I do reckon garage office costs me c4kw for 5-6hrs
20-24 X 15p
But HMRC do give me a bit of tax relief for WFH.. it's all prime time though in terms of funky tariffs
I reckon 0800-1700 we are smashing it, then it reduces a bit 1701-2100, then a drop again for a few hours...
But that is as much data I have currently

The smart meter is spot on accurate but has little data/archives. My best real time tool is the app with the house batteries/PV controller. Octopus energy readings from the smart meter every half hour are uber accurate. The ultimate controls are my xls. Hand feeding them is fun and free pointless data entry
Frustrated I can't automate more though it seems there is no substitute for a human weather eye. I was gradually trying to 'AI' devise patterns but there is always something new. For example this past few months has seen very high prices mostly due to the anti cyclone weather pattern this winter i.e. low winds, and as a result the wholesale market prices have gone bonkers. Worries me how thinly stretched our power supplies must be now. It's all very well for the UK to brag about being 100% green in the sunny days of low consumption / no heating but I can't see us ever being able to rely just on renewables in winter. What a surprise eh
edit: if you can heat the office at 1kWh per hour you have one seriously well insulated garage. Though you are up in the eaves I guess = hot air rises!

6m X 6m and eaves yeah. Well insulated ish, 2 small roof lights and that soundboard plasterboard, not sure whether that does anything for heat. Warms up fast
A 3kw heater not 1kw but I don't have it on all the time by any stretch.. then
lights are LED so feck all, 8x3w
amp 200w but it won't be drawing that
2 led monitors at 45w and 80w
2 laptops, 90w and 65w
stuff like a phone charger...
without a smart meter and with a careless other half I am reluctant to pay 35p per kw peak rates

Battery stores 9.6kWh before that 4-7pm peak period, which more than sees us through, and the heat pump is switched off.Up 'til now I use a mahoosive switch in the 32A main feed, driven off a time switch, to switch the heat pump off. A bit heavy handed maybe. The recent 'softstart' component failure (burn out) in the heat pump makes me wonder. There is a control panel option for 'off' and I have now learned by studying the circuit diagram there is an input socket on the low voltage control board to remotely power off.
Another way would be a resistance in series (or is it parallel?) with the outside temperature sensor, which if relayed 'on' would fool the heat pump into thinking it is summer
Back OT around town in the current weather I have an AVG 2.6 miles per kw
a KW is c15p so 5.7p per mile
At 543p a gallon I make that a real world 94mpge.. in winter at its worst. Quite impressive.
plus I can get a bit of free gas and maybe look at a clever e tariff to charge in the wee hours
We are enjoying it, it's nice to drive, handles well and is just the dynamic side of comfy imo. The low cog is obvious in corners
one pedal and no gears is incredibly easy..

Mine has done 580 miles for £11.02 I find heating seats and steering wheel doesn't cost much whereas the space heating does. We tend not to carry lots of bodies, dogs etc dispersing moisture so manage without heating the air mostly. Now at 3.5 miles per kWh. My investment in a fast charger means I can harvest cheap electricity average paid is 6.5p/kWh. My fast charger works out at £1/mile to date almost exactly, even with the Govt grant. Like you I 'lose' the cost of juice in the monthly house cost. 40 or 50 units for the EV against just over 1,000 last month isn't worth crying about. Note our electricity consumption does everything, space, hot water etc via heat pump, we have no fossil fuel boiler though the wood burner is handy when the heat pump goes tits, which it recently did
I reckon we will settle at 150-200 miles per week post the harshest restrictions. That will be sub 2 charges so <£10 a week. Noticeable but also cheap and fills up at home.
as you can appreciate with a 70s house, a child and a careless other half I think our energy consumption will be worse and we do have GCH but the drop from 5-6 gallons a week at £27-32 to £7.5 to £10 in the e.. for the daily its good
It'll save over a bag a year and is a huge upgrade on the nissan. Obviously I could try and chase better, free juice at M&S etc, funky tariff..
I could probably have bought a new nissan petrol but over the course of 10 years it would be more expensive overall and dire to drive
Not an only car unless you just stay local or are happy to zap map but as a city car I think it's really rather good

I don't think new deals where on the agenda at all really, spoke to numerous dealers
I reckon the closer we get to March 1st the more likely 24k is realistic. All the dealers got their demos at the same time so all 20 plate cars at Honda are that and they are probably due to be paid for soon

24.5 is certainly doable. I got mine delivered incl
Adding the service pack costs them nothing as such. Nor do mats. As Nottm says the closer it gets to March the more they will be under pressure to shift it.
Not that I am in the market but call them and have a chat then leave it a while. Find another e.g. in Jockland as competition.
Wheeling out the old "what's the least you would accept" closer to the time.
Then it is a marmite colour so £500 off for that
