new 07 owner..do u have to lock the car twice?

Default new 07 owner..do u have to lock the car twice?
to arm the car...do u have to click on the remote twice to hear the beep? or is 1 click fine, because that beep is annoying.

1 click will lock it, 2 will sound the horn

One click is fine, the second is in case you need to hear an audible indication to make sure its locked. You can reprogram the remote to always or never honk the horn too.

1 locks it
2 confirmation beep(not required)


i press it twice because otherwise ill be walking around wondering if i locked it.
But if it annoys you or have another reason then (1) click will do.

To avoid hearing the beep, but to still have peace of mind, I click it once and then pull on the door handle

but with one click, does the alarm still goes off if someone opens the door?

the car is suppose to have a door (not sensor) alarm.

I'm paranoid so I always make sure it beeps because that way if anyone is around they may think it has an alarm
