Yes, a few folks did report that just before spring rolled around.

AHM's S2000 sales numbers are down, according to temple of VTEC.

Guys,

Any idea about Honda's employee pricing. My employer has some tie-up with a couple of local Honda dealerships. It is advertised as we pay what Honda employees pay. So, how much do the Honda employees pay?

Thanks!

Good question, but I doubt you'll get a straight answer on that one, Sunil... Anyone?

WOW. 06's going for below $30k already??
The car is showing its age. This price correction is expected. Great news for enthusiasts that's for sure!

This is true. As the dealer "cost" is a closely guarded secret that now mortal human will ever be privvy to, just be content with the knowledge that you didn't get screwed nearly as much as the general public sector does.
Typically, dealers will tell you that "employee" pricing is on par with a "fleet" purchase price. This has been stated as anything from 1% to 3% or more above dealer "invoice". As we've already mentioned in this thread, dealer "invoice" is still a good profit margin ABOVE dealer "cost". Don't let "employee" pricing fool you into thinking it's the best you can do. Continue to compare prices with other dealers not offering "employee pricing".
having sold Hondas among many nameplates for close to 30 years a good rule of thumb to follow on dealer cost is the 10% rule. Generally 10% of sticker is real close to actual dealer cost..doesn't take into account any other factory incentives, but 10% ( of any vehicle) is about right. BTW I've never met a poor car dealer

Connor,

I assume you mean that dealer cost is approx. 10% less than sticker, right? Just checking.

And, yeah, these dealership owners aren't exactly poor.

I sure hope so. If an S2000 cost the dealer about $3400.00, I'm going to find mine and put a hit on him.

Are you talking to me ? How the heck did you know that I got screwed when I bought mine 2.5 years ago ?

I paid $800 below sticker and was happy about it, but as soon as I found S2Ki website 2 months after I bought mine, I knew that I over-paid by about $1400-$1800.

But I got 2 free oil change coupons
