Should I Buy An S2000?
No I didn't. Thanks for the tip. I'll remember that when I take a look at it again...if I take a look at it again. Either way it's useful information for the future.
If all goes well, I'm moving to AZ (or ATL) in late July/early August (yeah know, I know, the heat, 115 degree melt the skin off your face is gonna be great after moving from Nebraska). Anyway, if you buy a used car in AZ, as I understand it, you don't have to pay sales tax, which will save me close to a grand. Everyone loves mo' money right!
Any under 25 single males with a good driving record know what insurance is like in Phoenix for an S2000. I'm currently planning for a $1000 every 6 mos.

As my first post, i will be another newbie that has not yet purchased a s2k. I want a sports car for bout 30 grand
350 Z
S2000
RX8
Lancer Evo
Wrx Sti
I have a acura Integra ls automatic and want a manual sports car, ive seen and ridden in them all, drivven three( Z, S2K, RX8) and there is no doubt in my mind what i will get. S2000 all the way it has more uniqeness than any of the others, with the exception of the evo all are in limmitless production, while the S2000 is very limmited as is the lancer. I mean in a year or so there will be tons of 350's and rx8's around and their will still be very few s2k. So not even considering the car for anything above its rareity and value the s2000 is a winner, but when u consider the engine well.
The nissan has more power and torque, as do the lancer and wrx, and you can feel it, but 9000 rmp has a way of sawying the vote. The rotary is unique but lacks power and torque just as the S2k, but also revs high. Then when u add in looks the s2000 becomes an intant winner, its drop dead gorgeous. Who really wants a 4 door sports car, and if im correct a true sports car tends to be a bit tight, noisy, and bumpy not plush, soft, and roomy eliminating the z. Besides i like cramped noisy cars. I will have a 03 s2000 in a few months, and i cant wait

Jorpat1026 - you nailed it! I hope you enjoy your S! I love being cramped and bounced and jolted with the motor and gearbox whining in my ear. If I wanted comfort, I'd stay home on the couch.....
PRO: My friend spun my '01 out taking a corner at 90 with the top down. The car proceeded to run up on a curb and hit a tree. Then we flipped and were both knocked out. BUT we both escaped with minor injuries and a little amnesia.
CON: The S2000 needs more low-range torque to compete with certain rivals.
