Should I Buy An S2000?
xviper,
I appoligize for breaking the spirit of a couple pros and cons but I really believe this article says it all. I hope you will agree.
S2000 REVIEW
The Honda looks like a land-locked missile: it is small, tight, and athletic. It resembles a snake from the front, an arrow from the side and a compact bullet-hole from the rear. The wheels are relatively small by modern sports car standards and there is just enough alloy for the spokes to support the car, nothing more. Despite being an attention getter it is almost like the designers let a bed sheet fall on the mechanicals and there you have it.

Most of the obvious Pros and Cons have been snapped up, however:
Pro: schizophrenic nature of the engine - if you want to drive it like an F1 car, you can. If you (or your wife
) want to drive it like a 1.6 Civic, it is more than happy to oblige.
Con: the indicators do not always self cancel (ok, ok, not the greatest reason in the world to reject buying the car, but it's the best I can manage!)

Pro's: Serious pulse quickening, endorphin releasing, palm sweating handling....The weekly honk from a hottie with the "What kind of car is that?" question....Peace of mind with reliability and durability (arguable by a small percentage of owners)....A nearly irremovable smile while drving it, looking at it, or thinking about it....It gets faster and faster until 10K mi.
Con's: Home Depot trips...Having to ever put the top up...Sweaty muscle headed, mullet wearin' guys will want to race you all the time - but only at a stop light.....the wait for VTEC in 1st gear... The realization that if you had a back seat there may very well be three women in your car instead of one.

I was just wondering from a s2000 owner how you enjoy the ride and if the weak low end torque can be a match for the v6's out there.

And the line about V6's is kinda irrelevant, since now adays, it makes no matter how many cylinders you have... even then, there aren't too many N/A V6's that give a challenge that I know of...?? (other than the 350Z)
