for those with projector envy:

$599 for an extremely limited time. Actually, it's $399 after rebate.
Woot!
Is that projector any good? Throw up some model specs on it. For that price, it might be worth it to get just for fun

Woot is a reputable company, they only have 1 product for sale at a time. Normally, its 1 product on the site for sale for the day or until it sells out. Then a new product is listed the next day @ 1am. They are known for having crazy deals on some products (sometimes they just sell junk). Right not its a "Woot Off", so everytime a product sells out, another one is listed.

The projector is unfortunately sold out for now if you didn't get in on the deal already. IIRC the Projector only displayed 480p, so it'd be great for watching DVDs, but not a good choice for HDTV.

You did go in and lower al the contrast and brightness controls, right?
oh yeah, i did. Using the D-Nice settings for break in.

Actually, while I was unable to figure out DVD burning on my dad's PC, I was able to burn the DVD (not VCD) on my Mac. It's running now.

not everyone can afford to spend $1000-1500 on two new format players.

I didn't. I spent $450 on one(that's gonna win!) and also bought a new gaming system.
