Any dude who's planning to spend thousands of dollars for dry carbon parts for weight reduction should just do this and shed much more weight at little cost.

I am going to alternate
90days on the P90X for leaning and cutting
and then 30 days of bulking with heavy lifting.
rinse, repeat
Just my 2 cents, my body has always responded better when after a period of cutting or bulking I maintain that body weight for at least 30 days. This would mean trying to maintain whatever weight you are at the end of P90X for at least a month before bulking again.
I'm not an expert, and I'm not knocking your idea, just speaking from experience.
my biggest and leanest I have ever been was 230 @ 9%BF in College
My body responded well to rapid changes between bulking and cutting on a 1 month cutting 2 months bulking.
But unlike the norm "bulking" I still ate very clean during the bulking cycle just more intake
1 month of cutting I would lose an average of 8-9lbs of fat and 2-3 lbs of muscle
2 months of bulking I would gain 6-8lbs of muscle and gain about 4-5lbs of muscle
Netting a loss of 3 lbs of fat and a gain of 3-4 lbs of muscle gain average per cycle averaged over a year
After a year of doing this routine the nets dropped to loss of 1 lb of fat and 2-2.5 lbs of muscle gain average per cycle averaged over a year.
Congrats Mindcore. Glad to ear you stuck it out. I was happy with my results but also proud of myself for just gutting it out regardless of what my results would have been. You are probably bored to death with the repitition, but you are almost there.
Thanks, I promised myself I would finish, though my enthusiasm waned about half way through. It is damn hard to fit it in 6 days a week without fail.
I'm happy with my results so far, I'd like to be a little bigger, a little more ripped, but you get out of it what you put into it. I go one for one with the guys on the video now, but slack in other areas so I can't expect to look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club after 90 days and 60 pizza's later
I've purposely not looked at my pics before starting so I guess that will show just what my gains were.
I can say I'm way stronger than I was, and my cardio hasn't been this good since I raced 18 years ago.
I thought I would bump this up one more time since I have officially finished.
I'm not sure why I'm posting pics but what the hell?
A lot of people including me wondered what the results were if you don't follow the diet, so this is for those people
let me put it this way, yesterday I had 4 slices of pizza, a Nestle Crunch bar and 3 Cadbury's Easter Creme Eggs ( damn why are they so good? ) about 3 cans of sprite as well.
usually for lunch, I'm at Boston Pizza, or the chicken place, Wendy's etc. I did NOT follow any diet, just the same crap I always eat. Though I did start drinking smoothies with protein powder.
So here are my pics. Oddly I don't know if I look all the different based on the pics, though I can tell I'm a lot more fit then I used to be, Cardio is no comparison, I'm in much better shape.
There are some improvements indeed mindcore, but I believe diet is the biggest part of the program (I know it's veryyyyyyyy hard to follow).
For those who are planning to do this, I warn you, it is VERY intense. Even those who often train probably can't even finish, let's say, an hour of Chest & Back video. You MUST take it at your own pace. Set your goals.
I tried the Chest & Back yesterday and after only about 30 min, I was completely wasted. I almost threw up afterwards, because I strictly followed the video and didn't stop until the time ran out for each session, which is very foolish because there's no way you can keep up with those people in the video, and this is the reason I recommend setting goals of how many push ups and chin ups you are gonna do within the time instead of just keep going.
I really do believe this program will shape your body well GIVEN that you can endure the intensity and continue as well as keeping up with the diet. I doubt anyone can absolutely follow the diet due to their busy schedules, but at least stay away from junk foods and eat more times a day in small amount, take necessary supplements/vitamins.
Good luck to those who have the determination to commit to this program. With hard work comes the reward.
Hey Dan Aykroyd, the biggest improvement I see is less hair on your back. Well, there are subtle improvements, but you must feel healthier and more energetic.
