Just completed the last week of phase 2 although I am doing an extra week just because I have to travel and want the travel to fall on the "recovery week".
The results have been really amazing so far. About half my body fat is gone and my arms have leaned out but I am getting stronger. Abs are sticking out. This stuff reall works your legs and back which I had always neglected.
I have a plate loaded bench press machine at home and had been stuck doing three sets of 8 at about 265 pounds for months. Tried it the other day and ripped out a couple fairly easy sets of 10. First increase I had seen in a long time and thats just from doing P90X pushups.
Never thought I would see such quick results at ( a couple months from) 40 years old. Do I like all the workouts? No. They can suck real bad, but they work.

The hardest exercise for me starting off were pullups as I never did them in my prior workout routine, but's it's amazing that just after 2 weeks I'm already able to do more each time. I was skeptical, but have to say that this deal really works!
You're gonna hate "Chest, shoulders and triceps." Trust me.
You'll make it through, but it sucks.
Lots more pull ups to do but yeah they improve fast. I started doing sets of about 8 with each grip and now do sets of about 16. Wait till you get to do "corncob pull ups.' Ugh.

I was the same as you and could only pull out between 7-10 depending which grip it was starting out--which seemed pathetic to me when they are doing like 20 on the DVD!!
p90x is a great workout. I did it for 30 days and have seen great results. Then I went on vacation lol.
Neways you do need to be in decent shape cause doing pull ups is not easy. My friend threw up the first day and I almost did as well. We are both pretty fit.
Great workout.

This workout might just be that intense, but, isn't losing 6 lbs in a week relatively unhealthy?
I think you have to be really in shape to start this program, so most people that complete it aren't really looking for weight loss, more so muscle tone and tighter in the ab region. Sure you will lose fat, but you should gain muscle so I don't think there will be much weight loss in the end
I haven't been able to do the Yoga for more than 20 minutes
I can't stand it. What I really hate about it is having to look up to the TV and lose my pose and concentration to figure out what they're doing next. But the whole program works together as a system and yoga is part of it for a reason so I don't want to modify anything. I'm just going to suck it up next time and do the whole thing.

Want a good work out. Do a mixture of wieghts and running/swimming. Try working on wieghts 5 days a week. On those same days run 3 of them and swim the other 2. The weekend take saturday and do something fun like a nice walk, golf, bowling something that will still be working out just having fun doing it. And sunday just rest to recover this is what i do. Im in great shape i can run with some one on my back father than most people could run. But i am a marine and a instructor so i have to be in great shape

I've just decided that I'm not going to do the Yoga X days anymore and substitute Cardio X instead--anyone else hate the Yoga portion like me?!!
I had a bad day Saturday and skipped a workout. So today I am doubling up Chest shoulders and Tri with Plyo. I got the plyo out of the way first thing, upper body this afternoon. Its going to suck.
