"city kid" and attitude!
Some pitbulls are great dogs. Most are not, through no fault of their own. There is a selection preference, and the people most naturally attracted to owning pitbulls are not exactly looking for "man's best friend."
Whenever I walk my incredibly friendly Lab, I use a leash. I am also conscious that not everyone loves dogs as much as I do, and I keep the dog away from anyone who looks the least bit concerned.
This same lab was attacked while being walked on a leash by a pitbull about 3 years ago. I pulled the dogs apart - something I would never do again, although I wasn't hurt. I would have used the kicking technique - as hard as possible.
The vet who examined my dog (who had small bite marks on her hind leg and throat) said it was obvious that the pitbull was trying to kill, but couldn't lock his jaw. He couldn't believe my dog was alive, much less mostly unscathed. He also claimed that once a pitbull can lock his jaws *NOTHING* (see rebar comment above) with make the dog let go.
It is definitely not cool to have a dangerous type of dog off a leash, esp in an urban environment.

Think you need to upgrade weapons from the weed wacker.
I love all these thug life jokers out there, they are pure comedy.
Why can't people get a decent dog anymore. I would pass that dog a steak with a little pharmacutical additive
