I bought a cordless hair clipper set from a cheapie store for $14. I figured, even if I get myself out of 1 hair cut with it, it's more than paid for itself. I used it and did my own hair for 2 months a while back, then came home drunk one night and gave myself a touch-up. I was pretty sloppy drunk, but thought I did a bang-up job! I looked goooood.
I woke up the next morning with the worst cut I've ever seen, patches missing on the back, etc and decided to avoid cutting it ever again. My barber told me to destroy my hair clipper and never try again or she wouldn't cut my hair anymore.
$30/month now allows me to keep my dignity.
