I believe my guys spliced into this harness which I had from another head unit:

But I'll let others chime in.

I got the Joying Honda harness from their website for a plug and play setup, and what is surprising is that the dash volume control works. Well sort of; when you use the volume control toggle it raises the volume up.
I need to take a look into this to see what needs to be done to have it also lower the volume; however their harness seems to have alot integrated into it.

I thought i would also need something to angle my screen like the ones i have seen on this thread; although after sitting in my car how low my seats are. I did not need to make any adjustments.

If it truly is connected you can run the Control application on the Joying and rebind each button. You'll see the numbers jumping up as you push each button, to confirm they are working. See here, skip to 4:00:

I used the below adapter to make it all work.

Is there any way you could send me these files or print them for me? Ill pay! Thanks!

Did you try switching the two wires for the dash controls?

I have my dash controls hardwired directly to the unit, no adapter at all. Everything except Mute programmed and works perfectly - Volume Up/down, Mode, CH. No issues.

I'd be careful about just experimenting with switching wires -
the dash switch wire goes to ground (-) while the mute
switch wire supplies +12v.

Look on this thread post #40. That’s how you get mute to work.

But that bezel is the same cost as the Joying unit by itself hahaha. And that sony unit is like $600. So definitely a more expensive route, but in the end you'll end up with better sound. Let me know how it goes.
The bezel he makes is $350?
So essentially it’s going to cost you around $1000 for a headunit going that route… damn
