Anyone do the big 3 on your s2000? I have a JL audio stealthbox and the sub keeps cutting out when I turn the volume up above a certain point. It plays fine below this point, but should be able to hit a lot harder. As soon as I lower the sound the bass comes back. I've checked my ground to my amp and it should be fine -- so I'm trying to figure out what it could be. Any insight?

 

Could be your amp pulling too much from the car. My friend has this problem but I haven't looked into it. Others can probably tell you. Look in to capacitors as well.

And I didn't know you could fit Miami's "big 3" in the s2000

 

Skip the cap. Put in a better ground and/or bigger/better battery.

Upgrade them. But it sounds like your amp. What amp are you using to power the woofer?

Is it a JL 10w3 woofer in that box?

 

it could my amp...but I don't have another one to test with. its an old pioneer gm 5000t 760w max. the sub is the 10w3v3. pioneers tend to be overrated from my experience so I don't think I'm overpowering it..but lemme know what you think.
