What are the chances that your tire will split in half or tear apart ? I think it VERY small chances...
The reason I brought it up is because it happened to me before. It didn't split in half, but the entire sidewall split. So you can say it did a 90/10 split (Dunlop SP 9000). I don't know how it happen, but I was just driving down the highway and pop. There goes the sidewall. Never used the brand since.

BTW: It was back in the days when I cruised in my 99' Eclipse GS-T. Fun car.

To get you home it would be ok... odds are you wouldnt want to "repair" a Z rated tire either IMHO, driving for a 1/4 mile on a flat or semi flat would ruin the sidewall and compromise the tire anyway.

If your limping home it doesn't really matter does it. Its not like people are going to use Fix-a-flat and then hit the track dude.... I mean come on, really....

I think people have some wrong idea about fix-a-flat. To me, fix a flat is an emergency kit that will help get you home safetly,.... at your expense. That's it. Once home, you'll be in a more relax environment to get a new tire or what not. Meaning buying new tires or whatever damage it cause along the way.

If you have time and have nothing to do, I think you should sit in your car in the middle of nowhere and wait for help to arrive, and save yourself some money that you could of pay for repair. The choice is yours.
