Sorry about your weather issues. I'll fax my redneck friends and see if they can measure the trunks of thier s2k.

That's pretty cold. Stay inside and help out Andys2k. I can get the measurements elsewhere.

I think I might be breaking the bank on the amps in the system, ahh to dream of more power.

Earlier in this thread I wrote,
"Maybe this will help: At home I've got a 5 year old B&K preamp with a 12 year old Citiation power amp (classic Harmon Kardon)"

I've also got a roughly 8 year old Cliff Design components in my Minivan.

I like to buy things once, and enjoy them for years to come.

Quality goods actually retain their value. That's why I am buying the s2k. I could buy pioneer gear till the cows come home, and three years from now they wouldn't be worth the plastic they are made of. So maybe I should buy the good amps, if they fit.

But I might be sending too much power to the fronts, the ten will eat the extra watts.

Remember........you arent really sending power. You are providing power. In "dummy" terms (I do not mean to call you a dummy, just that I am too stupid to explain it in detail)

Basically, speakers draw power from a pool. If a 100 watt speakers in drawing from a 50 watt pool, then it will not perform optimally. If it draws from a 100watt pool, then it will drain the pool (amp will be really hot and usually shut down after long periods of play)

From a 150watt pool, it will have more than enough power and not overdrive the amp. This is not really scientific, maybee someone with more knowledge can explain it better........Phil, youre on stage buddy!

imagine if wattage was water . . . .

and woofers like waves. . . .

and tweeters like rain. . .

I gotta pee.

I dont know......I liked Phil's water analogy, so I used one of my own....

If wattage was water,

woofers were waves,

and tweeters were rain,

Then my car is an olympic size OUTDOOR pool, during a typhoon, and 10 400lb fat kids jumping into it from a 50 foot diving board.

Willie Gee- The usable space seems to be 12"x16". My carpet in that area has been cut away. I put the spare tire cover in place and measured over to the swing arm for the trunk lid. Hope my "rough" estimate helps.
