What's the difference between Phoenix gold Tantrum and Titanium?? They seem to have a large cost difference. Should I go Titanium? or save the few bux and go for a Tantrum?

Go for the Titaniums......some of the best amps money can buy. Well worth the money.

It's hard for me to only give my sub 400 watts. But it is a sportscar, not an Audiophile van.

So what subs work with only 400 watts?!

does anyone have:
Polk Audio MM 1104

(won't buy from Crutch just using the link so people can check it out)
I like the looks of it and the momo polk series seem to be quality made.

Alpine Type-R SWR-1041D
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/...a=0&cc=01&avf=N

Darkknight had this one in a pretty sick system and he seemed pretty happy with it.

Don't need a thunder shaker, not really into showing off, I just like the sound of a strong fast sub.

Any recommendations?

I would do this......Get 2 600.2's. Spend the couple of extra bucks, and your system would sound phenominal.

You would have 150 going to each door, and 600 going to the sub. Find a good single 4ohm voice coil sub that can take at least 600. Damn, I think I am going to redo my system.

BTW......I have the alpine sub, Although I like it, it maxes out at 300wrms....(full excursion) If you like hard bass, look elsewhere....something with a 2" rubber surround...

NFR,
Man that's overkill. TWO 600.2's!!??
That's tons of power, and wouldn't be appropriate for MY car. Remember, I still want the spare. It's a space issue, I'd be lucky to fit one 600.2 in the trunk. Thee 400.2 would be enough to run the fronts. I don't want a twelve either, they can be a little loose.
But if you want to be noticed, then the twelve is the way to go, or two of 'em in a ported box. Screw it: Spend a couple of extra bucks, and get three.
But all I want is solid lows. A sealed ten would be fine. In the van I've got two sealed tens with 800watts running to them; The van can drop like a tsunami, but usually I refrain. I'm an audiophile not a bass junkie.

He he he.......I have 2 of the same amps.....love it. Well, you can stick on on the other side of the spare tire....there is lots of space in there. And another outside. But yea, I am gettin carried away....he he ....

Def. go with the TI's, as an avid audiophile, you deserve nothing less.

One will fit outside on the left of the spare tire bulge. The other one can fit INSIDE....there is a slot behind that panel, on the left of the spare tire itself.
