I have just orderd the 12w6v2 will be powered (hopefully) by a jl 500/1 and 300/2 for the xr650csi fronts, alpine 9811 hu.

What is the sound difference between 12w6v2+500/1 and 10w6v2 x2 + 500/1?

I had a 10W3 in a sealed box powered by MTX Road Thunder 300W RMS. It added punch but was not enough at 60mph and the top down.

I exchanged it for a 12W3 and Phoenix Gold 400W RMS AMP. I used the trunk well as the enclosure and made it sealed and flush with the trunk floor. It sounds 20x better than before, the bass is not boomy and not too overpowering. I reccomend using the trunk well as part of the enclosure.
