Because of the cost of the whole road trip im trying to keep spending down. So a modrify harness and a nice headunit would work, but for now id like to see if I can do it on more of a budget
I have an adapter you can have - PM me your address and I'll put it in the mail.

It plugs into the back of the OEM radio (mine is an '01 but should be the same as your '02) and has a 30-pin Apple plug and a 3.5mm plug.

On the radio, select CD as source and hit the [Repeat} button (if I remember correctly) to start playing music.
Its not letting me send a PM

you could also look into a wireless fm transmitter. something to plug into your phone/ipod which would send a wireless signal on a certain radio station such as 88.1 which isn't being used. cheap alternative but not nearly as much fun as an aftermarket HU

Hate to resurrect an old thread like this one but I need some help for my 2008 S2K. I have decided to purchase a GTA auxiliary-in kit but GTA wrote to me and told me that I'd have to remove the head unit and send them a photo of the connector so that they could send me the correct one. AFAIK there were only two CD changer part numbers for the S2000 and the one for the 2008/2009 cars had the part number 08A26-5E1-100. Would anyone be able to help me with a jpg of the connector on this unit so that I could forward it on to GTA so that they could send me the correct kit?

Any other advice other than removing the head unit to have a look? I don't want to rip it out then reinstall it till the kit arrives only to have to remove it one more time in order to install the kit.

Thanks guys,

Bez

It's really simple to remove the headunit. I can remove it in less than ~3 minutes. Less than a minute if I'm using a cordless drill. Just pull off the bezel cover, and unscrew 4 screws that hold the radio in.
