I would go to Home Depot, pick up a couple of pre-drilled stainless mounting straps. Bend them to fit and bolt them between the box and at least two of the clips - replace the plastic carpet clips with bolts (not sure what size, I think 8mm).

On an unrelated subject...my new BM arrived Saturday. Dang this thing is gorgeous. I need to get pics up.

Can you link to the straps you're talking about? and are the holes threaded? or would I have to tap them?

Update:

Well. Everything is going good so far except for my sub woofer. I had a goof on my part where the speakers kept cutting out, and after inspecting my system, I realized I forgot to strip the ground wire.... Whoops.

And the other problem I had was my sub woofer blew. I noticed the surround was ripped around Easter time, with a tear that was about 1/2 inch long. Now it's ripped all the way to the edge. The thing that confuses me is that I only had the sub running at about 750WRMS, on a 1000WRMS sub, and it still blew. I started looking at the "warranty" from the company, and practically nothing is covered. Even damage from shipping isn't covered. They say that "Manufacture defects" are covered, but I don't understand how they can say "Manufacture defects" and say absolutely nothing is covered. So I'm in the market for a new sub, and sub company needless to say.

If you bought the sub from an authorized dealer, the manufacturer
*may* be sympathetic regardless of how narrowly the warranty is
written. If that doesn't work, as you have nothing to lose, you can
try to repair the speaker. There are instructions at:
http://www.bcae1.com/ - click on the "speakers" link (31) .

I bought the sub straight from the manufacture.

Thanks for the link OTH. I found a website (www.speakerworks.com) that sells entirely new speaker surrounds, and I'm considering just replacing the entire surround. My question is which would be better? Foam or Rubber?
